The successful candidate will effectively lead and operate within a dynamic team, handling multiple assignments, deadlines, and competing priorities.
 
Responsibilities and duties:

• Provide junior staff with clear direction, goals and objectives.
• Establish appropriate standards and foster a positive work environment.
• Offer coaching and training to enhance performance.
• Conduct audit fieldwork.
• Prepare clear, concise and error-free financial statements for companies, close corporations, trusts and individuals.
• Apply technical expertise and analyse data effectively.
• Finalize and propose audit opinions and financial statements.
• Complete timesheets accurately.
• Maintain effective client relationships.
• Manage personal and team time efficiently.
• Monitor progress and performance against deadlines and milestones.

Minimum education/qualifications required:

• Completed SAICA training contract - audit and assurance elective.
• CTA completed (preferred).

Skills and experience required:

• Knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
• Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Pastel.
• Proficient in CaseWare working papers.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Capable of working independently and within a team.
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
• Team management abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
