Inaugural Markex KZN around the corner

Markex KwaZulu-Natal is just around the corner and exhibitors are in full swing, preparing passionately for what promises to be a successful inaugural event. The International Conference Centre (ICC) Durban will play host to the marketing, promotions and special events exhibition 14 – 16 August 2007, where visitors will be able to see offerings from 125 exhibitors.

“We are delighted to be bringing the brand to KZN to service this growing market and respond to industry demand”, says Lynn Chamier, show director of Markex KZN for event organiser Exhibitions for Africa.

“Visitors can look forward to seeing the latest offerings in terms of gifts, corporate clothing and eventing with a host of new products and services being launched at the show,” she continues. Exhibitors who brought products or services to the Gauteng region will be introducing these in person to the KZN marketplace.

Face-to-face opportunity

She says the show will give visitors an opportunity to meet their suppliers face-to-face, and will give exhibitors the opportunity to generate high-quality sales and build brand awareness.

Chamier's enthusiasm is echoed by businesses who will be exhibiting their products and services at Markex KZN.

“We are happy to be exhibiting in Durban because Markex gives us an opportunity to meet our clients and customers in KZN on a more personal level,” says Justin Hawes, MD of Scan Display Solutions.

“We have a big investment in Durban and this gives us opportunities for exposure and a chance to increase business.”

World and local trends

Corporate gift supplier Macbryan will be exhibiting 434 new products at Markex KZN – demonstrating how the company keeps up with world and local trends and consistently refreshes its standard product range.

“Markex KZN will afford us the opportunity to interact directly on a personal level with our KZN-based clients who do not have the chance to visit our Joburg-based showroom,” says Bryan Peach, director of Macbryan.

“It also affords us the opportunity to hand deliver our latest product catalogues, display some of our new products and reinforce our service options that are available to the clients.”

The show is organised by Exhibitions for Africa – Winners of the best Trade Show (6001 – 12000m2) for Markex & World of Events and Winners of Best Organiser at the Exhibition Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) 2006 Awards.
