Estate & Trust Attorney - Mossel Bay, Western Cape 

Our client is looking for an experienced Estate & Trust Administrator to join their team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape.

The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, extensive knowledge of estate and trust administration, and the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews and consultations for new estates and trusts
• Interpret wills, trust deeds, and financial statements
  Independently manage the full estate administration process (deceased estates and curatorships)
• Draft Liquidation & Distribution Accounts and Curator’s Accounts
• Handle the registration, administration, maintenance, amendment, and deregistration of trusts (inter vivos and testamentary)
• Organize trustee meetings, draft resolutions, and prepare meeting minutes
• Liaise with the Master of the High Court to resolve queries efficiently
• Manage and submit tax returns to SARS
• Draft cash distribution statements and reconciliation reports
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, beneficiaries, heirs, and third parties
  Adhere to strict processes and quality standards

Requirements:

• 5 – 9 years of recent experience in estate and trust administration and dealing with the Master of the High Court
• LLB degree (essential)
• Certificate in Estate and/or Trust Administration (beneficial, but not compulsory)
• FISA accreditation (beneficial, but not compulsory)
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Legal Suite, Legal Ease, Standard Bank TPFA, Nedbank Corporate Saver
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of relevant legislation, including:
