Key purpose of the role
Responsible for processing the accounts payable for the group. This includes processing and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments. Ensuring that the department meets all financial deadlines and provides excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
Key outputs/accountability
- Dispatching invoices, statements and supplier recons, ensuring there are no discrepancies.
- Processing invoices on sage on time to ensure that monthly deadlines are met
- Processing and maintenance of cashbook in line with cashflow management
- Processing and maintenance of prizes adhering to the 30 working days prize payment timeline
- Bank and credit card account recons accurately and on time
- Fixed asset maintenance including capturing additions and disposals
- Petty cash card reconciliation and maintenance weekly
- Update BBBEE certificates on the shared drive and ensure that monthly BBBEE report are compiled to ensure compliance and timeous decision making on procurement.
- Office physical and digital filling
- Assisting with special projects when advised by the manager
- Minimum Matric
- 1-2 years experience in finance
- Microsoft excel
- Microsoft word
- Sage
- Good interpersonal skills
