Civil Construction Foreman / Supervisor - George - Western Cape

Our client, a leading Construction Company, is seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Construction Foreman / Supervisor for their George branch. (Please note: applicants who require to relocate will not be considered.)

About You:
Must have a background in Civil Engineering, oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completely safely, on time and within budget.

Salary:
R20 000 - R30 000 CTC (depending on experience) + petrol

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering; Construction Management or similar
• Proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably with the steelwork industry
• Willing to be hands on when necessary
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Computer savvy
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Site Supervision: Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Lead and supervise construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution and address any issues that arise.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and financial status.
