Junior IT Technician

The Junior IT Technician will assist in maintaining and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable network connectivity, system security, and desktop support. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle technical, desktop, and network-related tasks while supporting smooth operations in a fast-paced freight and logistics environment.

Key responsibilities:
 
Basic technical knowledge:

• Familiarity with Operating systems;
• Common software applications;
• Network Basics; and
• Hardware Troubleshooting.
  • Windows 10 and 11
  • Outlook, Excel and Word
  • PBX – Phone Lines
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users and effectively listen to their issues.
  • Problem-solving Skills:
• Identifying the root cause of issues and applying established troubleshooting procedures.
• All requirements of the function are carried out timeously and effectively within the department.

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum Matric
• IT Certification
• CompTIA A+ and N+ widely recognized IT Certificate
• The average experience requirement for a Junior IT Technician is minimal as we would like to get in a young student that just finished their studies.
