Driven by purpose
This multifaceted role blends marketing, PR, merchandise, and promotions. The focus is on responding to enquiries and converting them into reservations, sales, and bookings to meet targets.

This position is perfect for someone resilient, confident, and ready to handle unpredictable challenges, including changing weather, logistical issues, or varying attendance at events. Key responsibilities include:

• Driving sales and assisting visitors with travel, accommodation, and entertainment bookings
• Using IT systems, timetables, and guidebooks for reference
• Managing banners, restocking merchandise, and equipment
• Executing marketing campaigns and events
• Increasing presence in communities and facilitating member activations
• Delivering exceptional visitor experiences

Qualifications and experience

• A higher certificate (NQF5) in a relevant field plus two years of experience in tourism, travel, events, or PR coordination and management. Business owners in these fields will also be considered.
• IT literacy, including CRM and booking systems, as well as social media proficiency
• Resilience and adaptability to work long hours in high-pressure environments
• A valid South African driver’s licence with the ability to drive a mobile unit 90% of the time (non-negotiable)
• Strong collaborative skills to market, sell, and negotiate
