Seen TV is looking for a Viral Video Specialist to own creative direction across all client work. This role sits at the centre of everything we make for brands, NGOs, and partners.

We are a decolonial media company telling the stories mainstream media ignores. We specialise in raw, mobile-first storytelling that travels organically. No ad spend. No gimmicks. Just video ideas the internet actually loves.

What you’ll do

• Lead creative direction across all client video work. Every pitch and every execution must feel native to the internet.
• Sometimes you’ll generate like 67 video ideas in a week. Then take the ideas from concept to execution. Script them. Shape them. See them through.
• Working closely with editors, producers, and storytellers.
• You probably have endless references of great video ideas you wanna make. Because you live on TikTok and Insta.
• What You Should Be Good At
• You have a clear track record of organic views. Real reach. No paid spend.
• You are a strong storyteller. You understand hooks, pacing, suspense, and payoff.
• You can spot weak ideas quickly and make good ones better.
• You are confident selling ideas on paper before anything is shot.
• You do not care about fancy gear. You know a phone and the right framing beats big production.
• You are deeply fluent in internet culture.

Important context

This is a role based in South Africa, but most of our client work is global, particularly in the USA and Europe. You need strong instincts for internet culture and audiences in those markets.
