    AFDA is inviting applications for the position of Digital Marketing & Web Specialist:

    Role and Responsibilities:
    1. Digital Marketing Execution
    • Implement integrated digital campaigns across social media, email, web, and paid media.
    • Translate marketing strategies into actionable content plans, ad placements, and user engagement initiatives.
    • Stay up to date with the latest trends, platform updates, and suggestions on strategies to enhance brand awareness. Leveraging emerging technologies (AI, AR, VR automation) to drive brand innovation and enhance user engagement

    2. Web and UX Implementation
    • Build, update, and maintain website content to ensure alignment with campaign messaging and brand standards.
    • Implement UX improvements based on user behaviour, analytics, and best practices.
    • Manage landing page development, ensuring mobile optimisation, speed performance, and clear conversion pathways.

    3. SEO and Analytics
    • Implement on-page and technical SEO updates to increase visibility and organic traffic.
    • Track KPIs and user behaviour using Google Analytics, and other reporting tools.
    • Translate analytics into actionable recommendations that support institutional goals.

    4. Conversion and Lead Generation
    • Implement lead-generation funnels across web, social, and paid channels.
    • Optimise landing pages and forms for maximum conversions.
    • Cross-Platform Growth: Evaluate growth across various platforms to ensure a balanced presence

    5. Systems and Reporting
    • Paid Media Performance: For social media ads, track ROI, CPC (Cost Per Click), CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions), and overall campaign performance. Implement A/B tests to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
     Track and report on lead quality and conversion metrics.
    • Monitor campaign performance in real time and optimise based on analytical insights.

    Digital Marketing and Web Specialist Summary:
    We are seeking a skilled Digital Marketing and Web Specialist to enhance and maintain AFDA’s online presence. This role involves developing and implementing digital marketing strategies, managing website content and performance, and ensuring brand consistency across all
    digital platforms.

    The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of SEO, analytics, UX principles, and social media best practices. They will collaborate closely with marketing and campus teams to drive engagement, increase traffic, and support recruitment objectives through effective digital
    communication.

    Requirements

    Selection Criteria:

    Qualifications
    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications, Multimedia, Web Development, or a related field.
    • Additional certifications in digital marketing, analytics, or UX/UI (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, SEO certifications) are advantageous.
    • Experience in managing digital platforms, website content, and online campaigns.
    • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new tools and systems quickly.
    • 3 to 5 Year’s working experience
    • AFDA employs candidates in line with the Employment Equity Act and as such preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups.

    Requirements and skills
    • Proven experience in digital marketing, web management, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and website analytics tools.
    • Proficiency in website content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML/CSS.
    • Experience managing social media platforms and digital advertising campaigns.
    • Excellent communication, writing, and proofreading skills.
    • Strong organisational abilities with high attention to detail.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Suite) is an advantage.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
