McCann Erickson South Africa are proud to announce the appointment of award-winning executive creative director, Vanessa Pearson. This highly acclaimed creative joins McCann in the wake of the recent appointment of Andrew Shuttleworth as managing director for the agency.
Pearson is amongst the most highly acclaimed creative directors in South Africa today, having had the good fortune to work with the likes of Matthew Bull, Mike Schalit and Graham Warsop earlier in her career. She believes that she has learnt from the best.
She has won many coveted awards both internationally and locally and is a multiple Gold award winner at Cannes, The One Show, The Loeries and The Eagle awards for brands such as Guinness, P&G, Mercedes-Benz and Nike.
With a wealth of blue chip brand experience, Vanessa also enjoys a reputation as a catalyst for change. Her career high points include the turnaround of Saatchi & Saatchi which resulted in its top three position creatively, the recent turnaround of Leo Burnett from 36th position to 6th position creatively, her nomination in 2006 as Advertising Person of the Year finalist and her 2007 appointment to the D&aD judging panel.
