2008 Vodacom Women in the Media finalists

The finalists for the 2008 Vodacom Women in the Media Awards, which honours remarkable women who have made tremendous strides in the media industry, are Pheladi Gwangwa: station manager of Talk Radio 702; Wendy Knowler: consumer editor for Independent Newspapers and the presenter of a weekly consumer show on East Coast Radio; Khanyi Dhlomo: founding editor of Destiny magazine and MD of Ndalo Media, and Karima Brown, political editor of Business Day. In addition to the 2008 Vodacom Women in the Media Award winner, the Rising Star Award (under 30-year old making her mark) and the Lifetime Achgiever Award will also be presented at the annual Vodacom Women in the Media Awards Event, to be held at Summer Place, Johannesburg, on 29 July 2008.
