Free 30-day trial upgrade

During April 2010, all new and existing account holders on www.overtone.co.za will have access to a free 30-day trial upgrade, after which users will be required to pay for the service (R150 once-off account/R50 monthly top-up account - per year). The upgraded account allows users access to the Overtone industry contact database, as well as contact details for entertainers, venues, freelancers, companies and service providers.

The Industry Access account aims to revolutionise the way promoters and event organisers book entertainment, and the way band manager's access industry resources, and how industry professionals develop their careers and network in the industry. The Overtone platform is intended to provide ongoing promotion for local entertainers, plus decrease the related costs and time required of event management and artist bookings.

"We're excited to extend our relationship with Overtone to a formal partnership. Our alliance will mean more support for the entertainment industry through meaningful collaborations and projects,” says BizLounge content managers and contributors Sindy Peters and Ruth Cooper.

“The BizLounge has always aimed to provide a platform for South African musicians in particular to promote themselves as well as the industry as a whole. We look forward to an enterprising partnership with Overtone."

“Really grow SA music and entertainment”

Comments Magdalena Zukowski, Overtone GM, “The industry comes together and gets connected in a meaningful and proactive bid to grow the industry and make great entertainment happen. By looking at existing networks, career development, and artist promotions, we can really grow the South African music and entertainment industry.

“It's fantastic to see Bizcommunity's BizLounge taking such an active role and supporting the independent music industry. We are looking forward to working with them closely and looking forward to the road ahead.”
