Head out with Eat Out

The 2006 edition of the Eat Out restaurant guide, by New Media, covers 900 restaurant choices countrywide and presents all the award-winning chefs from the Eat Out awards on a foldout cover.

According to publisher John Psillos, the 245-page directory is a comprehensive, user-friendly overview of the restaurant scene, with something to suit everyone's pocket.

"Eat Out is not an exclusive, star-rated, intimidating epicurean guide; this is everyone's must-have overview of local eateries from homely to haute cuisine, presented in a short and punchy style that gives all the information you need for an enjoyable lunch or evening out... packaged in a familiar magazine format that's light to carry around and ideal for travelling, whether you're on holiday or in an unfamiliar city on business," said editor Sam Woulidge.

Suburbs are also listed, so choosing where to dine out is simple. "The line-up of new entries promises beguiling flavours from African to Moroccan," said managing editor Lisa van Aswegen, "Readers will be spoilt for choice."

Woulidge said, "Eat Out is both credible and independent. It neither charges restaurants to be listed, nor expects them to pick up the tab for our meals."

The directory has an audited circulation of 22 027 and is now on sale at bookstores and traditional outlets.
