The Business Woman of the Year award went to Dawn Rowlands, CEO Aegis sub-Saharan Africa, who has been responsible for the group's growth of over 200% in two years. Total business has grown rapidly across Africa with new business in East and West Africa coming from P&G, Coca Cola and MTN. The company's growth has been spurred on by a training and development strategy to drive consistency and transparency.

The second award that publicly recognises the group as the leaders and industry innovators in the digital media arena was for their Thought Leadership Digibates. The group identified the need to convey the African media marketing debate through real time conversation and used an online radio platform as the vehicle. Africa's largest B2B portal, Bizcommunity.com, is also the media partner for this initiative.

"Award wins like these are a validation of the strategic effort we not only strive to give our clients but give to the industry as a whole," said Rowlands. "I am honoured to have won these accolades, which without an incredibly strong team, would not have been possible."
