Construction Manager

A well-established construction company, based in Mossel Bay, is looking for a construction manager to join their team on a contract-basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Project planning: Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and work programs.
• Team management: Oversee and coordinate the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Budget management: Manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
• Quality control: Ensure all construction work meets quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations.
• Safety management: Implement and monitor health and safety protocols on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
• Client liaison: Communicate regularly with clients to provide project updates and address any concerns.
• Problem-solving: Identify and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process.
• Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports and present them to senior management or clients.

Qualifications:

• Degree/diploma in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in managing construction projects.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office.

Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

Experience:

• Minimum of three years of experience in a construction management role.
• Experience within building industry

Salary: 
R20,000 - R25,000 basic
