      Travel Tractions/The Marketing Mill is inviting applications for a mid-level social media manager and strategist to help steer the digital presence of Travel Tractions and its partners in a part-time role.

      The desired candidate needs to be proficient in the use of various social media tools to monitor the brand's reputation, and online presence, and assist clients and intermediaries. Travel Tractions' brand presence on social media extends to but is not limited to, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.

      In this role, you’ll need to balance high-level strategic thinking with the ability to create compelling, insightful content that drives engagement and generates leads. Success will be measured by your ability to consistently deliver content that attracts, engages, and converts our target audience, ultimately contributing to our growth objectives.

      Responsibilities
      • Content strategy planning, development, and execution: Create and implement comprehensive content strategies focusing on lead generation, demand generation, and brand awareness. Employ a data-driven approach to continuously refine strategies based on performance metrics and industry trends. Schedule and curate engaging text, image, and video content across multiple platforms to connect with audiences.
      • Community management: Monitor and respond to customer interactions, managing feedback and queries promptly according to standard operating procedures.
      • Reporting, performance measurement, and optimisation: Utilise analytics tools to monitor and report on content performance, focusing on key metrics such as SEO performance, organic traffic, and funnel conversion rates. Continuously refine content strategies based on data insights.
      • Thought leadership and industry authority: Develop content that positions Travel Tractions as a thought leader in the travel industry, including original research, trend analyses, and expert commentary on industry developments.
      • Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a synchronised marketing approach and top-tier service delivery.
      Duties
      • Lead the implementation and optimisation of social media and communication campaigns to align with strategic marketing goals.
      • Maintain and schedule comprehensive content calendars to ensure a consistent and engaging presence across all platforms.
      • Manage customer feedback on social media channels, reporting significant interactions to appropriate teams.
      • Provide creative support for engaging multimedia content creation.
      • Moderate and interact within our communities according to our moderation policies, including on weekends and public holidays.
      • Stay updated with the latest social media tools, platforms, and industry trends to implement in our strategies.
      • Ensure all communications adhere to our established tone, style guides, and social media policies.
      • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
      • Aid in the continual improvement of our social media processes and practices to align with industry best practices.
      • Develop our capabilities for future social media endeavours and technologies.
      Skills
      • Proficient in managing multiple social media platforms with a strong grasp of their respective best practices.
      • High computer literacy, including familiarity with Google Workspace and various social media monitoring tools like Sprout and Hootsuite.
      Qualifications and experience
      • At least two to five years of proven experience in social media marketing, with substantial content creation and campaign management skills.
      • A degree or diploma in communications, marketing, business, new media, or public relations is preferred.
      • Previous work in agency settings or with large social media accounts is advantageous.
      • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist.
      • Demonstrable experience with social media analytics tools and an understanding of major marketing channels.
