We are inviting applications for our structured 9-Month Broadcast & Accountability Journalism Fellowship Programme, based at our Hartbeespoort Broadcast Operations Centre with national field deployment.
This immersive programme places fellows inside a fast-paced, 21st-century digital newsroom, integrating live streaming, field reporting, real-time editorial decision-making, and multi-platform broadcast operations.
Fellowship tracks include:
• Fellowship Newsroom Manager
• Live Broadcast Operator (vMix Specialist)
• Broadcast Operations Coordinator
• Anchor / Presenter
• Field Journalist
• Digital Video Editor (News & Courts)
• Pretoria-Based Logistics Support (Driver – own vehicle required)
Fellows will contribute to live court coverage, breaking national stories, and accountability-driven journalism while receiving structured mentorship in editorial leadership, technical execution, and broadcast workflow management.
The Fellowship Newsroom Manager track is designed for candidates capable of overseeing live output, coordinating teams, and maintaining editorial standards within a high-pressure environment.
The programme runs for 9 months and is a structured professional development opportunity. It does not constitute permanent employment.
