Main job purpose
To deliver and collect items using a company vehicle ensuring conformance to traffic regulations and safe driving practices thereby contributing to the achievement of company objectives and customer satisfaction.

Minimum requirements

• Grade 12
• Valid unendorsed Code 08 drivers license and valid PDP [Public Drivers Permit]
• At least 3-5 years’ experience working as a driver or a similar environment

Essential duties and responsibilities:
 
Duties include the following:

1. Uses vehicle to collect and / or deliver documents, items, mail etc. as required from various companies / sources, plazas, etc. Delivers items to relevant person
2. Plans route according to area and urgency of requests
3. Check, clean and maintain pool vehicle
4. Obtains signature from receiving party on appropriate documents and immediately hands same to superior on return
5. Take and collect visitors to and from various locations
6. Carries and maintains a company cellular phone during working hours, to communicate and receive instructions enabling an efficient delivery / collection service
7. Maintains neat, clean, presentable personal appearance ensuring a good company image is portrayed to customers / passengers
8. Obtains receipts for any items purchased, completes relevant expense slips and submits to the supervisor daily
9. Responsible for effectively managing and executing duties across both Tolcon/Pt Operational services.
