Job summary:
Limba is a proudly South African athleisure and activewear brand that makes comfortable, high-quality active lifestyle wear for women who are on the move. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales team, drive revenue growth, and enhance brand visibility in the local market.
You will play a hands-on role in managing daily sales operations at our flagship store in central Cape Town, while also spearheading strategic initiatives to increase foot traffic and brand awareness. The ideal candidate is a sales leader with a passion for fashion retail, strong leadership skills, and a finger on Cape Town’s health and wellness community’s pulse.
Key responsibilities: Sales leadership and store performance:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Actively engage in selling, spending 50% - 75% of work time on the store floor, leading by example to drive high-value sales.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, implementing strategies to optimize revenue, according to the tactical sales plan.
- Guarantee consistently high standards of customer experience within the store, and in the region, in accordance with Limba’s customer service standards.
- Manage in-store merchandising and product placement to maximize sales opportunities.
- Resolve customer complaints (if any) in a timely and effective manner.
- Work with the MD and marketing team to develop and execute initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive foot traffic to the boutique.
- Identify and participate in relevant local events, wellness days, pop-ups and networking opportunities to promote the brand.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local brand partners.
- Work with the marketing team to implement targeted campaigns that attract high-value customers.
- Document and share visual content from the store with management for social media channels.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Train and develop the sales team, fostering a high-performance, positive company culture. Lead local team recruitment initiatives, when applicable.
- Manage inventory levels and liaise with HQ (based in Johannesburg) to ensure the right product mix is available.
- Provide daily sales updates and monthly reports with insights and plans (aligned to KPIs) to the leadership team, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Undertaking administrative duties such as staff scheduling, keeping filing up to date and reporting to management.
- Maintain the physical condition of the Store according to relevant guidelines and communicate maintenance needs in a timely manner. Ensuring store compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrate a proven record of performance in retail sales management, preferably with experience in fashion, sports/wellness or luxury retail environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Confidence and an exceptional ability to sell with a passion for customer engagement.
- Experience in event participation, networking, and brand growth initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative, and actively engage the team in delivering results, and exceeding targets.
- Sense of business acumen and the ability to analyse sales data effectively.
- Basic tech skills: Yoco, Excel, Google Docs
- Flexibility to work over weekends, public holidays, and over the festive season
