    Durban FilmMart announces new partnership, opens applications for 2020 edition

    The Durban FilmMart has announced a partnership with Talents Durban and calls for applications for its 2020 edition.

    Talents Durban is a five-day talent development programme which comprises of workshops and seminars, providing emerging African filmmakers and film critics with networking opportunities and a chance to compare their work to African and global trends. The programme comprises of a Storytelling Lab, Animation Lab, Doc Lab and Talent Press. 
     
    The newly appointed Talents Durban programme manager for this year's edition Menzi Mhlongo said: "The framework for the Talents Durban programme remains the same. This is a just an operational shift, and we will continue to support emerging talents from the continent - with special attention to promoting a community of filmmakers to inspire growth and expansion of African cinema."
