Ster-Kinekor charity calendar raises R10 000 for CANSA

Ster-Kinekor Theatres this week handed over a R10 000 cheque to CANSA. The donation was from the proceeds of the sale of their showcase calendar, which featured six well-known South African women posing nude.

The calendar featured Shaleen Surtie-Richards - Miss January and February (actress on Generations); Ann Heystek - Miss March and April (author and businesswoman); Shado Twala - Miss May and June (entertainment consultant); P.J. Powers - Miss July and August (singer); Edith Venter - Miss September and October (businesswoman and Patron of Cancer Association for Gauteng); and Michelle Botes - Miss November and December (actress on Isidingo.)

"Ster-Kinekor Theatres is as committed to putting back into the community as it is to entertaining it," says Odette Van Wyk Ster-Kinekor Theatres Marketing Executive. "We are delighted that we were able to raise this money for Cansa."

The calendar was photographed by celebrated South African photographer David Dodds and inspired by the film Calendar Girls.
