Caxton's Best of the Best announced

Caxton employees from KwaZulu-Natal have claimed top accolades in this year's Caxton Newspaper Awards. Journalist of the Year is Dave Savides from Zululand Observer; "Best Sold Newspaper with circulation 8000 or more" went to South Coast Herald and "Best Free Newspaper with Pagination of 24 and more" went to South Coast Sun.

Gill Randall of the Newspaper Advertising Bureau, the national advertising, sales and marketing division of Caxton, commends this year's winners, saying, "In our competitive media environment, it's so important to uphold the first rate quality of Caxton's free and sold newspapers that our readers, advertisers and shareholders have come to expect and continue to enjoy. Well done to all those who claimed accolades this year - we are proud of you all!

The Caxton Newspaper Awards are designed to promote and maintain superior quality in Caxton's array of newspapers. Judging covered multiple categories, including Best Sold newspaper, Best Free newspaper, Most Promising Journalist, Journalist of the Year, and Best Hard News Photograph.
