The Cell C Friends and Family offering provides subscribers with discounts on frequently dialled numbers. These call rates are available all day. The lowest mobile industry call rate of 75c per minute is available during off peak hours and subscribers will pay only R1.50 per minute during peak hours.
Cell C subscribers can now also nominate and activate any seven frequently dialled numbers (across all networks, and fixed national numbers), as opposed to the initial four, to qualify for discounts on calls made to those numbers.
Simon Camerer, Cell C's Head of Marketing, says: "Offering our subscribers a variety of products and services, based on our value proposition of simplicity, choice and value - is our way of enhancing their lifestyles. This further demonstrates our commitment to providing them with the best value-for-money."
Camerer says the new Friends and Family campaign focuses on how this low rate will lead to everyone becoming friends with everyone which in turn will obviously lead to World Peace. The rainbow used in the campaign is a recognisable symbol of peace and ties in with how South Africa is a beacon of peace in a world filled with turmoil.
