Key benefits for current and prospective associate members include promotional opportunities on its website, input on various projects as determined by the bureau, involvement in internship programs as well as discounted rates and networking opportunities at its events, such as the upcoming RadioWorks Conference being held in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban in May this year.

United Stations MD Rivak Bunce says, "We have been impressed with how it has established itself as a valuable resource for advertisers and are delighted to be able to make a contribution as an associate member.

"It has already driven a number of initiatives that are getting advertisers and creatives excited about the enduring strengths of radio and how to use it effectively. Right now it's the best resource for all things radio and we look forward to being able to support its efforts to provide marketers and agencies with insight into radio advertising effectiveness."

Associate membership is open to any entity conducting a business or profession associated with radio advertising, other than radio stations or entities licensed to operate, or currently operating a sound broadcasting service.
