With the coldest months in Gauteng being July and August, the yearly blanket and jacket drive is a welcome relief for many needy South Africans.

Five homeless shelters and three needy children's homes have been identified by Kaya FM for this year's Drive, which will run until 19 July.

The Chevrolet Ute Force Utility vehicles will be used to transport the blankets and jackets from the stations home in Parktown North to the various locations across Gauteng. Over 1500 blankets and jackets will be donated over the two week period.

The yearly goodwill campaign is designed to lend support to needy homeless shelters and families in Gauteng, and calls on corporates and listeners to get involved by donating jackets and blankets, or by providing cash in order for Kaya FM to buy these items.

Sigabi concluded, "The Chevrolet Ute Force project is a community focused initiative that aims to lend assistance to needy organisations across South Africa. Our involvement in the 2013 Kaya FM Blanket and Jacket Drive will allow us to not only donate blankets but to also provide a much needed service to the cause, which will make a positive impact. We thank Kaya FM for this opportunity to get involved, and we look forward to the 2014 project."
