Fashion for thinking women

The first issue of Marie Claire to be produced by the magazine's new editor, Kate Wilson, is available with a new pay-off line: 'The Thinking Woman's Fashion Magazine'. From March 2006 readers will see more fashion and beauty content in addition to the title's customary in-depth journalism, in line with the brand's international positioning strategy.

Wilson says: "Internationally, Marie Claire has been repositioned as the no.1 fashion-and-beauty title in all its 26 territories. We have adopted the same strategy locally and from March onwards Marie Claire South Africa will have much more glamorous international flavour, while maintaining its journalistic roots as a woman's magazine of real substance."

Wilson and her team have introduced several editorial and packaging changes to Marie Claire South Africa according to the brand's three pillars: 'a sense of style, a sense of humour and a sense of justice'.
