Holiday enthusiasts on the hunt for local and overseas holiday destinations, 4x4 vehicles and accessories, caravans, diving equipment and hiking and camping gear will find all the information they need at the show.
Visitors will be queuing up to take advantage of the great show special discounts: a Makro Campmaster 40-litre compressor fridge/freezer for only R3 999 (usually R5 499), a new PVR HD decoder (box only) for R3 799 or R5 799, fully installed. Those who take advantage of Getaway subscription offers will be eligible for a 35% - 40% discount.
There are more than a million rand in giveaways, including a new Honda CR-V worth R351 000. The spin and win competition area could also see visitors walking away with weekend breakaways, gear and so much more.
Workshops at the DStv Getaway Show are always popular and generally book out early. Experts in digital, travel and wildlife photography as well as GPS navigation and 4x4 driving share their expertise with visitors. The Obikwa Adventure Area will be a big attraction at the show. Visitors will be able to test their agility on the climbing wall, and get information on quad biking, bungee jumping, abseiling, canoe and kayak safaris, bundu bashing, overlanding and hiking.
The show closes on Friday night at 7pm and reopens on Saturday from 9am to 7pm and on Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Entry is R50 for adults and R30 for pensioners and students. Children under 12 get in free.
