All-weather toughness

The camera defines new standards for all-weather digital compacts (15m waterproof, 2m shockproof, sand/dustproof and -10°C freeze proof. The CMOS sensor empowers continuous shooting at up to 10 fps (max. 9 frames) with a dedicated 'Burst Mode Button' which lets users instantly switch into continuous shooting mode and with wireless image transfer function, it can transfer photos and movies, which cannot be taken by other cameras and smartphones.

The new wireless feature transfers photos and movies to smartphones, tablets and PCs. Users need to install the free Fujifilm PC AutoSave" software onto a PC and select which folder to back up in. By linking a Wi-Fi Router and the camera, users will have set up a very simple to use backup for photos on a home PC.

To connect to smartphones and tablets, users will need to download the free dedicated Fujifilm Camera Application to an iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone or tablet device to transfer up to 30 pictures at a time from the camera. The app also lets users download movies, expanding the range of options available for enjoying pictures taken with the camera. Pictures stored on the camera can be viewed and selected for download on large smartphone or tablet screens for a smooth download experience. No wireless LAN access point or complicated ID or password entry is required and, once pictures have been downloaded to the smartphone, it's a simple task to upload them to social networking sites.

High-quality pictures and movies can be uploaded hassle-free to the smartphone or tablet of anyone who has downloaded the free camera app.

HD quality

The camera also offers a high-speed shooter, superior image quality and an internal 5x optical Fujinon zoom lens (28-140mm). Blur free pictures are achieved through the CMOS Shift Image Stabilisation, which corrects the effects of any slight shake of the hand when depressing the shutter. The camera can record full 1080i HD movies (60fps).

The camera has a bright 3", 920 K-dot LCD screen with an anti-reflective coating which makes looking at images and data on the back of the screen easy, even in bright sunlight. The screen features an automatic brightness adjustment feature, which can be optimised to monitor brightness to account for ambient lighting, saving battery power without sacrificing clarity.

Additional features such as Scene Recognition Auto now work when recording videos. Advanced in-camera movie editing available including features such as "movie trimming" to edit out unwanted footage and "movie join" to seamlessly pull together multiple video clips into a single movie.
