Herdbuoys Mccann-Erickson thanks clients

In a show of their appreciation, HerdBuoys McCann-Erickson recently treated clients, media and other valuable partners to the agency for their second annual Client Appreciation Function. Business has remained positive with the retention of the SAA account and recent appointment of agency's media division, Universal McCann, to handle the Coca-Cola business in nine of its Southern African markets.

Managing Director Happy Ntshingila thanked clients for their continued support and for entrusting their valuable brands to the agency over the last year. "Following on from the success of last year's function, we have decided to make this an annual event where clients are invited to the agency for an informal get-together and to catch up on recent developments and most importantly for us to thank them for their valued business," says Ntshingila.

The evening also provided clients with an opportunity to view examples of the agency's creative print and TV work for other clients as well as campaigns created by other subsidiaries of the HerdBuoys McCann-Erickson SA Communication Group, such as HerdBuoys-Design and HerdBuoys Sales Promotions.

In his address Ntshingila gave a brief overview of some of the significant developments within HerdBuoys McCann-Erickson over the last 12 months. These included the launch of HerdBuoys eKapa and the formation of HerdBuoys-Ramsay, a public relations division within the HerdBuoys stable. Investment in the future remained a key focus area with the addition of Short Left, a fledgling agency focused upon the youth market which has been taken under HerdBuoys' wing in order to gain valuable work experience as a fully functioning agency and the training and mentoring of more than twenty interns over the last year.

Ntshingila mentioned some of the agency's special moments over the last year which included amongst others, the agency's improved creative ranking from 14th to 9th place, a congratulatory message from Nelson Mandela for their recent "10 Years of Democracy" TV ad for Telkom, and worldwide acclaim for the MasterCard "Restaurant" commercial, which was voted the best advert in the entire international MasterCard "Priceless" campaign.

"It's important for us to take stock of our achievements over the last year, to remind ourselves of the memorable moments and, most of all, to be mindful of the fact that without the clients and accounts we work on, none of those achievements could have been made possible," ends Ntshingila.
