SAARF trends booklet now available

The latest edition of the SAARF Trends pocket booklet is now available from the South African Advertising Research Foundation (SAARF). It covers the period 2002 – 2006 and gives trend information out of AMPS for the past five years.

In addition to a general introductory section, the booklet covers the following:

  1. Population statistics
  2. Print
  3. Radio
  4. TV
  5. Cinema
  6. Internet
  7. Outdoor
  8. Activities/Services/Shopping/Lifestages
  9. The Home
  10. FMCG Product Categories
  11. SU-LSM

The section on the SAARF SU-LSM covers a write-up on the history, current status and information on the size and main demographics of each LSM group, as well as their media exposure.

In addition to all the media information, there is a useful appendix containing all the products and activities measured in AMPS over the past five years. It gives an indication of the years in which each of them was measured and where there was a methodological change.

The booklet measures only 125 x 165 mm so that it can easily be carried around in a pocket or handbag. The ability to open the book flat is an added advantage of the new design.

Apart from a comprehensive index, there are also tabs protruding from the side of the book which enables the user to go straight to the desired section with great ease and speed.

To order, go to www.saarf.co.za and click on "Order Publications". It is currently selling for R150.00 per copy or, if 10 or more are ordered, for R120.00 per copy, VAT included.
