AMASA Joburg to review 2006 Media Lions

The Cannes Advertising Festival, generally regarded as the most prestigious international advertising event of the year, is the topic of discussion for the upcoming Advertising Media Association of South Africa (AMASA) meeting in Johannesburg in February 2007.

Lucinda Dare, media director at FCB Johannesburg, and South African representative on the Cannes Media Lions judging panel, will lead the discussion and give insights and feedback from festival. She will take a closer look at winning creative media, what makes a good entry and how to enter and win a Cannes media award.

To open the meeting, and tying into the Cannes Advertising Festival, Brad Aigner, AMASA vice-chairman and head of the RGA sub-committee, will discuss the ins and outs of media innovation award, the Roger Garlick Award.

Members of AMASA, media owners, agencies and marketers are invited to "Cannes Lions 2006" to be presented Wednesday, 7 February 2007 at the JSE, 1 Exchange Square, Gwen Lane, Sandown at 4pm for 4.30pm.
