About the role
Reporting to the Electronic Workshop Manager, the Senior Electronics Workshop Technician will oversee the day-to-day operations of the electronic workshop — ensuring all calibration, testing, and repair work meets industry standards and client requirements. This role involves technical leadership, workflow coordination, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.
Key responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and guide a team of electronic technicians, providing training and performance feedback.
Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily workshop activities to meet deadlines.
Perform advanced troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and quality assurance on electronic equipment.
Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with calibration and quality standards.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for workshop operations.
Maintain detailed records of calibration data, test results, and maintenance histories.
Collaborate with the workshop manager to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
Enforce safety standards and promote a culture of compliance.
Act as a technical point of contact for customer queries and service support.
Design and develop electronic circuits for testing and repair purposes.
Minimum requirements
Diploma or degree in electronics or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior or team leader capacity within an electronic workshop.
Proven expertise in electronic calibration, testing, and repair.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate others.
Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
Knowledge of calibration standards and documentation practices (ISO 17025, ANSI Z540, etc.).
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, SAP, and CRM systems.
