Our client is a leading provider of automotive repair services, committed to quality and customer satisfaction. They are seeking an organised and detail-oriented parts storeman to join their team and help ensure the workshop runs smoothly, in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, and manage inventory of automotive parts and supplies
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and orders, ensuring timely replenishment
• Assist technicians in identifying and locating parts as needed for repairs
• Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock rotation
• Maintain a clean and organised parts storage area
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to place orders and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage area

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a parts storeman or inventory management role preferred
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems is a plus
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using inventory management software and basic computer applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
