About the role
Our client is currently seeking a senior software developer specialising in Node.js for their offices nationally. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud solutions, with a focus on back-end Node.js development using modern frameworks and technologies.
Requirements
- A relevant degree or diploma (honours or postgraduate preferred) or comparable practical experience.
- A minimum of eight or more years' experience building custom web-based applications.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Experience with Git source control.
- Proficiency in Node.js and Nest.js.
- Experience with Agile and test-driven development.
- Experience in building search systems at scale.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of SQL and writing high-performance queries.
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Bash.
- Expertise in web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Key responsibilities
- Technical architectural design.
- Develop and document design, source code, and technical architecture.
- Maintain and manage existing source code.
- Design, develop, and implement solutions to users’ needs and requirements.
- Review and improve code.
- Run tests and fix bugs.
- Coordinate with architects and business analysts to determine functionalities.
- Develop technical solutions to complex business problems.
- Design and develop technical solutions for enterprise-level projects.
- Design and develop data analysis solutions.
