National Sales Manager

A leader in innovative solutions for standby power, power efficiency, and renewable energy is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Manager to lead their sales team. The company  specialises in reliable, efficient power systems, and provide uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, generators, solar energy solutions, and other comprehensive energy management services.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management within the energy sector, a deep understanding of the industry landscape, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities:

Strategic planning:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand our customer base in the standby power, power efficiency, and renewable energy sectors.

 Team leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales targets. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure continuous improvement and success.

Business development:
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth opportunities. Actively seek out new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence.

Market analysis:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to anticipate changes and opportunities. Utilize market insights to adjust sales strategies and tactics accordingly.

Sales operations:
  • Oversee all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals. Ensure effective use of CRM systems and sales tools to track performance and drive efficiency.

Customer relationship management:
  • Foster strong and lasting relationships with clients by understanding their needs, providing tailored solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service. Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for clients throughout the sales cycle.

Product promotion:
  • Educate customers on the benefits and features of our technical products and services, emphasizing sustainability and efficiency.

Collaboration:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments such as marketing, operations, and engineering to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. Work closely with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions and address customer requirements.

Performance measurement:
  • Establish KPIs, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to measure sales performance, track progress against goals, and identify areas for improvement. Analyze sales data and trends to make data-driven decisions and optimize sales strategies.


Requirements

  • Degree / diploma in business administration, marketing, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the office automation or energy industry with a focus on standby power, power efficiency, or renewable energy solutions.
  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth, achieving targets, and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer value and satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
