Graphic Design Interns

Job description

It's that time of year again! As part of our Youth Month initiative at Agency 9one1, we are excited to offer three graphic design internships to talented individuals. These internships will provide hands-on experience in brand design, creative development, and bringing communication strategies to life through creativity within the advertising industry.

What you will learn: You will

• Gain hands-on experience in creating visually appealing designs for a variety of projects, including both digital and print media.
• Learn to collaborate effectively with a team on campaign development while ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Explore concept ideation, visual design, branding, and design thinking across multiple mediums.
• Develop and produce multimedia pieces for use on websites and in presentations, gaining valuable production skills.
• Contribute to internal projects, including e-mailers, newsletters, and social media graphics, enhancing your understanding of effective communication.
• Receive mentorship as you provide feedback and support in reviewing artwork, ensuring quality and professionalism in deliverables.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant design programme.
• Proficient in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong portfolio showcasing design and animation skills.
• Familiarity with basic web design principles and tools (HTML, CSS) is advantageous but not required.
• Experience with animation software (e.g. after effects, animate) not a must but it's a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.

Additional information:
Each intern will receive a stipend for their contributions.
This programme is also designed to empower individuals in the B-BBEE profiles and provide meaningful professional development.
