Location: Gauteng – Illovo
Department: Digital Operations / Strategy
Reports To: Senior Strategist / Head of Digital Operations
About the Role:
We are looking for a strategically minded Insights & Strategy Analyst to support our Senior Strategist and work closely with our digital performance marketing teams.
This role focuses on transforming campaign, brand, and audience data into clear, actionable insights that guide marketing performance and business decisions. The successful candidate will help interpret digital performance data, market trends, and consumer behaviour, translating complex information into clear reporting and strategic recommendations for stakeholders.
You will work closely with strategy, media, creative, and digital teams, helping ensure marketing insights are effectively communicated and used to optimise campaigns, improve customer engagement, and support client decision-making.
The ideal candidate is both analytical and strategic, able to interpret data, identify meaningful patterns, and communicate insights clearly to audiences ranging from marketing teams to executive stakeholders such as CEOs, CMOs, CFOs, and Brand Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Insight & Analysis
- Analyse campaign, brand, and audience performance data to identify trends and optimisation opportunities.
- Translate digital marketing performance into actionable insights.
- Conduct market, competitor, and consumer research.
Reporting & Data Storytelling
- Transform complex datasets into clear reporting.
- Develop and maintain reporting templates and frameworks.
- Present insights clearly to stakeholders.
Marketing Performance & Customer Journey Analysis
- Interpret campaign performance across digital channels.
- Map customer journeys and identify key touchpoints.
- Identify performance drivers and improvement areas.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work with strategy, media, creative, and digital teams.
- Support the Senior Strategist in strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to strategy sessions and reviews.
Innovation & Workflow Optimisation
- Use AI tools to improve insight generation and workflows.
- Improve reporting processes and analysis methods.
