SQL Database Administrator

A leading financial services group offering a broad range of solutions is seeking a sharp-minded and detail-oriented SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with strong analytical skills to join their dynamic team. They are known for their strong focus on long-term relationships, financial education and integrated advice backed by innovative digital tools

In this role, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of their SQL databases, as well as planning and implementing future database enhancements to support the company’s growing business needs.

This is what you need to land an interview:

• At least 5 years’ experience as a database administrator
• Cloud database experience
• Able to consult on data architecture and assess the impact of project changes to data architecture
• Experience working with SQL Server 2016 and 2019 as a database administrator
• Design and development of MS SQL Server databases (DB design, optimization, tuning, ETL, stored procedures, triggers, and views)
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) beneficial
• Must have Microsoft SQL Always On practical experience
• Competencies required:

Qualification:

• Matric plus applicable tertiary equivalent experience or preferably, an ICT-relevant diploma or degree from a recognised tertiary institution
• Relevant technical certifications
• MCDBA certification advantageous
