Junior IT-Systems Controller

Minimum requirements:

• Matric.
• Leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills.  Must be able to contact our clients and keep a good relationship with them.
• Basic experience in setting up laptops / desktops / networks.

Preferred requirements:

• COMPTIA A+ or any IT related qualification at a renowned institution.
• Experience in setting up Microsoft Windows.
• Microsoft Azure technologies.
• Microsoft Active Directory.
• Networking (switches / firewalls / V-lans)

Responsibilities:

• Operations and management of the team that is responsible for the IT side of our device maintenance process.
• Using our custom built maintenance software to ensure our field technicians receive job tickets accurately and timely.
• Do fist level of troubleshooting on our devices in order to fix simple problems that can be done remotely before creating service tickets to be actioned.
• Work in a team environment and give daily feedback on tasks.
• Interact with our clients' IT support staff to:
• Deploy new devices on network (V-Lan / IP / Switch config / Firewall setup).
• Troubleshoot network connection problems.
• Our products and services would involve the following technologies:
• MS Windows IoT
• MS Windows health and data usage monitoring.
• VPN (Logmein Hamachi / Tailscale)
• Focono LED Electronic Display boards
• GSM / 4G Modems
• Networking  - device connection / V-lans
• Overtime - The position will require the applicant to be on standby during non-office hours from time to time.  There will be a roster that will determine when the standby will be needed.  There is no extra compensation for standby during the working week, but any standby required during weekends or public holidays will be compensated.
