We are seeking an experienced team lead to oversee our development team, provide technical guidance, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance.
Provide technical guidance and support to the team, including conducting code reviews and ensuring best practices.
Collaborate with project managers to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
Identify and resolve technical and operational issues that may arise during project development.
Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.
Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to team members.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within the team.
Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a development team.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies and project management principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Experience with project management tools and software development tools.
Preferred skills:
Experience in the media industry or similar.
Knowledge of specific programming languages and frameworks used by Habari Media.
Certification in project management or Agile methodologies.
