    Role overview
    We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager / Account Director to lead and manage key client relationships within our design and marketing agency.

    This role requires a confident agency professional capable of operating both strategically and tactically. The successful candidate will build trusted relationships with clients, understand their business objectives, and ensure the agency delivers marketing, brand, and digital work that meets those objectives.

    The role will serve as the primary client lead, responsible for strategic planning, client engagement, and account growth.

    The senior account manager / account director will work closely with a Project Manager, who is responsible for project coordination and delivery management. This role focuses on client leadership, strategic direction, and ensuring work delivered by the agency aligns with client objectives.

    Experience working with large or complex clients is essential. Experience within the financial services sector (asset management, banking, insurance, fintech, or advisory) would be advantageous but is not essential.

    Key responsibilities client relationship management

    Client relationship management
    • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.
    • Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
    • Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, industries and objectives.
    • Provide proactive strategic guidance to clients.
    • Ensure a consistently high standard of client service.
    Strategic planning
    • Develop marketing, brand, and communication plans aligned to client objectives.
    • Translate client business requirements into clear internal briefs.
    • Work closely with creative, digital and strategy teams to develop effective solutions.
    • Ensure all work aligns with the client’s brand and marketing strategy.
    Account growth and commercial management
    • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
    • Prepare proposals, scopes of work and cost estimates.
    • Manage budgets and ensure work is delivered profitably.
    • Contribute to new business opportunities where relevant.
    Project oversight
    • Work closely with the project manager to ensure efficient delivery of all projects.
    • Ensure briefs are clear and actionable.
    • Maintain oversight of timelines, budgets and deliverables.
    • Resolve issues proactively and maintain client confidence.
    Internal agency leadership
    • Act as the internal advocate for the client within the agency.
    • Provide clear direction to creative, digital and strategy teams.
    • Ensure internal teams understand the strategic objectives of client work.
    • Prepare and present strategic presentations and proposals.
    • Lead client meetings and workshops.
    • Provide regular reporting on project progress and campaign performance.

    Experience required
    • Minimum 5 years experience in a marketing, advertising, branding or digital agency.
    • Demonstrated experience managing large or complex client accounts.
    • Proven ability to build strong client relationships.
    • Experience developing marketing or brand plans.
    • Experience working with creative and digital teams.
    • Experience in the financial services sector would be advantageous.
