Siphosethu Stuurman studied towards a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours-level degree) at Rhodes University, specialising in Radio & TV broadcasting and also majored in Industrial Sociology.

He is currently employed by Health-e news service in Johannesburg as a radio news intern. He also had a short stint with Primedia's 94.5 Kfm in Cape Town as a music show presenter.
During his time at Rhodes University (2007-2010) he worked for Radio Grahamstown (community radio station) and was deputy editor of the Oppidan Press, a campus student newspaper.
