Siobhan Viljoen is a partner at Shepstone & Wylie. She obtained her LLB in 2006, after which she completed her Masters degree in Employment Law, focusing on whistleblowers within a workplace context. In 2007, Siobhan commenced articles at Shepstone & Wylie's Durban office working in the Employment Law Department headed by Michael Maeso. Siobhan was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in 2009. In 2012, Siobhan transferred to Shepstone & Wylie's Johannesburg office and continues to specialise in employment law. Siobhan provides clients from different industries such as retail, banking and mining with daily employment law advice and also regularly represents her clients at the CCMA , Bargaining Councils and Labour Courts. Siobhan also has a specific interest in the health and safety side of employment law which has afforded her the opportunity to travel extensively through South Africa and Africa. She is a member of the South African Society for Labour Law and is a contributory author of the LexisNexis Practical Guidance Labour Law Practice Area which provides regularly updated digital content on labour law issues.
