Gareth Tudor is the CEO at Altonet, an ISP and provider/integrator of backup and restore solutions. Tudor started his career in finance after he qualified as a chartered accountant (SA) and has subsequently garnered a wealth of experience in a number of businesses, including his own. Before acquiring the majority shares of Altonet in 2008, Tudor began his entrepreneurial journey in a contracting company. He later went on to establish a telecommunications company that was the first to introduce premium-rated calling in South Africa specifically for competition entries. This is where Tudor's passion for IT and telecommunications was developed and together with his strong financial and business background, has taken Altonet from a small internet service provider (ISP) to a leading provider of backup solutions.
Tudor's commitment to helping customers' make the right backup and data storage decisions is what drives him. His quest to continue learning resulted in him obtaining a Masters in Applied Ethics from the University of Witwatersrand. He cycles, walks, hikes and travels in his spare time.
Altonet is the only HP Autonomy Elite Partner in South Africa, and markets its LiveVault and Connected solutions. Altonet is also the South African distributor of Beachhead Security solutions.
