Bryan David Perrie
Bryan David Perrie has both a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering from Wits, is a
registered professional engineer, a fellow of the South African Academy of Engineering and a member of the Institute of Concrete Technology in the UK.

He started his career contracting throughout Southern Africa, and aas with the Cement and Concrete Institute, previously the Portland Cement Institute, for 29 years, before being appointed MD for the last five years. Following the demise of the C&CI in April 2013, Perrie has been involved with the creation of The Concrete Institute where is currently the managing director.
Has authored a number of books on concrete floors and concrete roads and sections of "Fulton's Concrete Technology". Has authored a large number of papers for publication and presentation at local and overseas seminars, conferences and symposia.
Perrie is a board member of the Concrete Society, a past president of the Southern Africa Road Federation and a board member and past vice president of the International Society for Concrete Pavements. He is also a past member of the World Road Association Committee on Road Pavements. Perrie chairs the South African Bureau of Standards Sub Committee of Cement, Concrete and Concrete products, and represents South Africa on ISO Technical Committee 71.
