I am a digital associate for a government advisory firm dedicated to helping governments develop, lead and deliver positive programs that successfully promote their global interests.I am deeply passionate about the social good sector and previously worked for a JHB-based NGO where I had a core focus in online brand building, strategic partnerships, and fundraising. My pro-bono work in this sector includes digital consulting for Ashoka Africa and volunteering my skills on the New York-based skills-volunteering portal Catchafire, where I am able to connect with like-minded individuals on a global scale. I firmly believe social media is a key platform for non-profits to maintain a connection with their target audience, raise awareness, and funding & ultimately make an impact.
I previously served as Head of Social Africa for Weber Shandwick, a leading global PR agency, where I led the social offer for the Africa network, specifically focused on community management, data management, performance marketing, influencer marketing, online reputation management, and strategy. My work in the PR sector has led me to be invited to serve as one of the few South African judges for the D&AD Awards for the second year in a row - a British educational organization that was created in 1962 to promote excellence in design and advertising and which operates as non-profit advertising and
design association.
My client portfolio experience spans both the public and private sectors and includes the Kenya Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Samsung Africa, Vestergaard, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Johnnie Walker, Tiger
Brands, Roche, IBM, United Nations Kenya, Mastercard MEA, Nestle, financial services group Sanlam, and the City of Cape Town. My career also includes close to four years as Head of Social for top digital agency, Hellocomputer/FCB Africa where I worked closely with the content production, creative, internal branding, marketing, and PR teams on award-winning integrated campaign development and paid social communication management for a range of brands including Absa, network provider Cell C, and South
African Tourism. My work in the digital marketing space has been surmounted to me being named as one of the "Top 35's Under 35" in the industry and a Special Honours judge for the IAB South Africa bookmarks.
I am a certified media buyer and currently specializing my studies in digitalization in International Relations.
