KWV sponsors KKNK 2005

KWV International (KWVI) has come on board as a main sponsor for the 2005 Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (KKNK), which runs from 25 March to 2 April. KWVI has identified arts festivals, such as the KKNK, as an opportunity to use sponsorship and branding to build KWV Brandy with consumers, increase brand awareness among potential consumers.

The campaign to be rolled out at the festivals will feature KWV Brandy's payoff line of 'Consistently The World's Best Brandy' in all brandy branding material. The campaign will also create and maintain heightened awareness of KWV Brandy throughout the nine-day festival.

According to Debbie Robertson, Senior Product Manager for KWV Brandy: "KWV's sponsorship of KKNK gave us the opportunity to re-enforce KWV Brandy as a quality brandy amongst festival goers and will encourage broader interest in KWV. It also emphasises KWVI's commitment and involvement in South African arts and entertainment."

KWV activity will include exhibiting at 'Die Smulhof' arena, which includes three tasting stalls inside the food and wine tent, shared branding rights to the food demonstration stand, exclusive branding rights to the outside open stage and branding rights at two restaurants in Oudtshoorn for the duration of the festival.

"KKNK is the ideal marketing platform for KWV to target affluent, mainly Afrikaans speaking men and women from the Western and Eastern Cape, as well as Gauteng. With approximately 180 000 visitors, the festival is an exciting opportunity for us to expose KWV brandy concept to existing and potential consumers," concludes Robertson.
