Living positively with Jet

Jet has announced its support of Siyayinqoba Beat It!, one of the first HIV/Aids educational television programmes presented entirely by people living openly with HIV, and targeted directly at those living with the disease, their partners, friends, families and colleagues.

Siyayinqoba is a co-produced by SABC Education and Community Health Media Trust. The programme is broadcast on SABC1 on Thursday mornings at 10h30.

Jet has provided a R30 000 clothing sponsorship for the Siyayinqoba Beat It! Series. Jet Club members - over 1.2-million people from South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland - are well aware of the threat of the disease within their respective communities. In response to their concerns Jet Club endeavours to provide guidance and support in a multitude of ways, such as the provision of free antitretrovirals in the case of accidental exposure to the virus and a 24-hour counselling careline.

The Siyayinqoba Beat It!, programme was selected as a beneficiary because of the success of its previous three series and because its 'living positively' with HIV/Aids positioning is in line with Jets own Good For Life promise to its members and account holders.
