Joburg Tourism, the City of Johannesburg’s tourism entity, will exhibit a wide variety of first-rate, broad-based offerings at the three-day show at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, starting on Friday February 26. “The Beeld Holiday Show provides a unique opportunity for visitors to view and select hundreds of holiday, lifestyle, leisure and business destinations and activities, all under one roof,” says Joburg Tourism’s Laura Vercueil.

All-year-round attraction

“Joburg is an all-year-round sports, shopping, fashion, lifestyle, business, mega and signature events, heritage, arts and culture destination of choice in Africa and the Beeld Holiday Show showcases useful and relevant information to contemporary campers, holidaymakers and outdoor enthusiasts.” Vercueil says Johannesburg, a diverse and richly vibrant city with an exciting and cosmopolitan calendar of events and attractions, merits an extended stay beyond business.

“Joburg boasts excellent air and transport access, infrastructure, a diverse accommodation offering, along with entertainment, nightlife, retail, arts, culture and heritage. Our presence at the show will communicate all these aspects, with excellent design and visuals to highlight leisure offerings and activities in Joburg – outdoor, adventure, sports, entertainment and lifestyle,” adds Vercueil.

Joburg Tourism will also encourage local residents to explore what the city has to offer.

The Beeld Holiday Show started in 2006 and has since developed into an important platform for exhibitors to launch their tourism products and services.
