No record of Green's resignation: Presidency

"The Presidency has noted media reports quoting a resignation letter from former SABC Board member, Pippa Green, reportedly sent to President Zuma. The Presidency has no record of the letter," said the Presidency on Sunday.

This after it was reported that the former board member had sent her resignation letter to the President.

Parliament had recently dissolved the broadcaster's board following a meeting.

"Parliament dissolved the Board last week and has since sent recommendations for an interim board. The recommendation is still being processed at the Ministry of Communications, before being passed to the President for finalisation," said the Presidency.

Earlier this month, President Zuma received and accepted six more letters of resignation from members of the board. The resignations were from Lumko Mtimde, John Danana, Cedric Gina, Desmond Golding, Cawe Mahlati and Noluthando Gosa.

Their resignations followed on those of Chairperson of the Board Dr Ben Ngubane and his deputy Thami ka Plaatjie.

The national broadcaster's interim board members were Iraj Abedian, Vusi Mavuso, Zandile Tshabalala, Ronnie Lubisi and Noluthando Gosa.
